The next adrenaline-filled Wolfenstein adventure is just around the corner. Fans of the Nazi-killing franchise got to enjoy another dose of brutal gameplay for Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which is due out next month. A new gameplay trailer was shown during Bethesda’s live press conference for E3 2019. You can watch the full trailer below.
Set during the 1980’s, Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a spin-off that follows the Blazckowicz twins, who are the offspring of the game series’ former protagonist, B.J. Blazckowicz. The game takes place 19 years after the events of Wolfenstein II. Papa Blazckowicz has since gone missing. His twin daughters, Jess and Soph, must set out to search for their father somewhere in Nazi-occupied France, while violently mowing down any Nazis they encounter along the way.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood E3 Trailer
Seeing as how there are technically two protagonists in Youngblood, it makes sense for the game to feature co-op play as well, a first for the Wolfenstein franchise. Players have the choice of slaying Nazis solo or teaming up with a friend to join in on the fun. According to the game’s Steam page, Wolfenstein: Youngblood “features the most open-ended Wolfenstein experience to date.”
Wolfenstein: Youngblood will release on July 26, 2019 for $29.99. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and Google Stadia devices.
