The tactical twin-stick shooter West of Dead has just entered open beta. Now through April 13, players on Xbox One and Steam can try their hand at West of Dead completely for free during the open beta event.
Developed by Upstream Arcade and published by Raw Fury, West of Dead is a cover-based, twin-stick shooter where players trudge through the wicked world of Purgatory, Wyoming in 1888. You take on the role of a flame-headed dead man named William Mason (voiced by the iconic Ron Perlman) who has awakened with limited memories. This awakening marks the start of a devastating series of events that rattle the already chaotic world of Purgatory.
West of Dead is a fast-paced shooter which combines tactical cover-based gameplay with fluid twin-stick controls. Players will make their way through procedurally generated hunting grounds where being quick on the draw is essential for survival.
West of Dead does not have an official release date yet. However, the game is expected to release later this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
