XDefiant Cross-play Playtest Coming This Week

Ubisoft’s upcoming class-based FPS will be kicking off its first insider playtest on consoles and PC this week.

Ubisoft will be hosting the first cross-play playtest for its upcoming free-to-play, first-person shooter XDefiant this week. The XDefiant Cross-play Insider Session will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S and is exclusively for those who previously signed up to participate on the official website.

According to a recent news post on the XDefiant website, the upcoming Insider Session will focus on gathering feedback regarding the game’s “cross-play and console experience.” The XDefiant cross-play playtest will begin on Thursday, February 16 at 10:00 a.m. PT and will wrap up on Sunday, February 19 at 11:00 p.m. PT. The playtest version of the game contains several known bugs and issues, which players can read about in the news post.

The first XDefiant playtest of the year will also introduce the new map Pueblito, a fishing village in the nation of Yara. Including Pueblito, the playtest will feature 13 maps and four game modes for participants to try out. Additionally, those who partake in the upcoming playtest will receive a special emoji pack for their participation, which will be available at a later date.

Ubisoft has been relatively quiet about XDefiant since its announcement in 2021. Unsurprisingly, no release date has been announced either. We will let you know here if that changes, so stay tuned to Guide Stash for updates.
