Earlier today, Ubisoft announced The Division 2 Warlords of New York, the next expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. The story-driven expansion will consist of five campaign missions that take place throughout a new open-world map set in Lower Manhattan.
The Warlords of New York expansion takes the action to Lower Manhattan where players must hunt down a rogue Division agent named Aaron Keener, who fans may remember from the first game. While on the hunt for Keener, players will explore the remains of Wall Street and Chinatown as well as several new zones that include the Financial District, Two Bridges, Battery Park, and Civic Center.
The Division 2 Warlords of New York Preview
Players who already own The Division 2 can purchase the Warlords of New York expansion separately. New players can choose either the Standard Edition or the Ultimate Edition, both of which include a copy of The Division 2 base game as well as the upcoming expansion. The Ultimate Edition also features all of The Division 2’s Year 1 content, which may be perfect for players looking to catch up on the game’s full experience. All editions are now available for pre-purchase.
It’s worth noting that players need to have reached World Tier 5 and be at least at Level 30 in order to play The Division 2 Warlords of New York expansion. If you haven’t reached the right level yet, don’t worry. Each edition of The Division 2 will include a Level 30 booster for players who want to quickly dive into the expansion content before finishing the main game. Pre-purchasing the expansion will allow players to apply the level boost early if they wish.
Completing the Warlords of New York expansion will also grant players the ability to fast travel between New York and Washington D.C. The level cap will also be increased from 30 to 40 with the addition of the expansion.
The Division 2 Warlords of New York will release on March 3, 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Both the game and its expansion will arrive on Stadia shortly after.
