Respawn Has Discontinued Sales of the Original Titanfall Game

Although Titanfall has been delisted from digital storefronts, its multiplayer servers will remain active.

On Wednesday, Respawn Entertainment announced that the original Titanfall game has been discontinued and will be removed from subscription services next year. Titanfall’s servers will still remain active for the foreseeable future for those looking to jump back into the game.

“We’ve made the decision to discontinue new sales of the original Titanfall game starting today and we’ll be removing the game from subscription services on March 1, 2022,” reads the announcement from Respawn. “We will, however, be keeping servers live for the dedicated fanbase still playing and those who own the game and are looking to drop into a match.”

As of today, Titanfall is no longer available for purchase on digital storefronts such as Steam. Titanfall will also be removed from Game Pass and other subscription services in March.

No reason was given for why the decision was made to discontinue the game. However, hackers and DDOS attacks have plagued Titanfall in recent years, so perhaps pulling the game from digital shelves will help alleviate some of the issues for remaining players.
