The release date was announced in a teaser trailer released on Friday titled “The Path is Calling,” which you can find below.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer Release Date Trailer

First announced in August 2020, The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a location-based AR RPG set in the world of The Witcher franchise. As a witcher, your task in Monster Slayer is to hunt, track, and slay monsters in augmented reality. Think Pokémon GO, except the monsters you’re hunting are the beasts and baddies from The Witcher universe, such as leshens, wraiths, and ghouls. The game is also said to feature “story-driven quests” inspired by The Witcher series that aim to take players “deep into the heart of what it means to be an elite monster slayer.”

News of the game’s release date arrives exactly one week before the first ever WitcherCon, which is set to debut on July 9. We know that The Witcher: Monster Slayer is scheduled for the event, so be sure to tune in to learn more about the game ahead of launch.
