Netflix and CD Projekt Red are gearing up to host the first ever WitcherCon, an upcoming digital event celebrating The Witcher franchise. Today, the companies have revealed the official WitcherCon schedule, outlining what’s in store for the multi-stream online event.
WitcherCon 2021 Schedule
WitcherCon kicks off at 10:00 a.m. PDT on Friday, July 9, 2021. The online event consists of two streams that will broadcast across Twitch and YouTube. The first stream begins with a panel called The Witcher Season 2: Deck of Destiny. Panelists will draw cards and answer fan questions about the upcoming season of the show. Soon after is Memories from the Path: Stories Behind The Witcher Games, the first of a two-part panel discussion on how The Witcher games became a reality.
Another panel follows shortly after featuring Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Declan De Barra, showrunners for Netflix’s The Witcher and The Witcher: Blood Origin, respectively. The showrunners join two lead quest designers from CDPR, Błażej Augustynek and Philipp Weber, for a game of Witcher trivia.
The first stream of WitcherCon 2021 continues with a closer look at Kaer Morhen, a deep dive into The World of The Witcher figures, and a virtual tour of the life of a Witcher using Spokko’s new location-based AR RPG. The stream will wrap up with a panel featuring real life Geralt of Rivia, Henry Cavill, who will sit down for a conversation about all things The Witcher.
The second WitcherCon stream begins at 6:00 p.m. PDT on July 9. Like the first stream, the second is also chock full of panels featuring stars from Netflix’s The Witcher show alongside developers from CDPR. Part two of Memories from the Path: Stories Behind The Witcher Games is scheduled for the evening. Fans will also get more details on the upcoming Netflix anime film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf during the Strokes of Genius segment.
