Just a day after launch, developer Croteam has already unleashed the first hotfix for The Talos Principle 2, which launched on Thursday, November 2, 2023. The hotfix addresses several progress-blocking gameplay problems as well as an issue pertaining to the game’s English language settings. The changelog for the hotfix is available below.
The Talos Principle 2 Hotfix 1.01 Changelog
Today’s hotfix aims to patch a problem involving closing a Palm Reader terminal while reading certain documents, and prevents players from prematurely exiting the terminals. The hotfix also squashes a bug involving the English language setting that causes it to apply as the system language. Here is the full changelog:
- Fixed problem where closing the palm reader terminal interface while opening an important document would prevent the player from progressing further due to the inability to open the document again (fixes existing progress that already experienced this issue too)
- You should no longer be able to exit the terminal interface prematurely after opening the important document.
- Fixed an issue where choosing English language in settings would apply player’s system language instead.
According to the patch notes, the developers are “working behind the scenes diligently” to come up with solutions to player problems as they arise. Check back soon for more news and updates for The Talos Principle 2.
