The Signifier Announcement Trailer
Developed by independent developer Playmestudio, The Signifier is a first-person, tech-noir mystery game that delves into the dark sectors of the human psyche. You play as Frederick Russel, an expert in both psychology and artificial intelligence. The game tasks you with investigating the mysterious death of a prominent tech businessperson. Using experimental technology built to scan the depths of a person’s brain, players will explore the last memories of the deceased with the hopes of uncovering what happened in her final moments.
Players will navigate both real and surreal environments, solve puzzles, and unlock new dialogue, all while exploring the unconscious mind of the deceased and analyzing real-world clues. “You will defy the abstract language of the unconscious where everything can be interpreted,” says the game’s website.
The Signifier will release on PC, though no release date has been announced at this time. If this game sounds like it’s up your alley, then you’ll want to head over to Steam to add The Signifier to your wishlist today.
