On Tuesday, Nintendo announced that a new The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom OLED Nintendo Switch will be releasing next month. The announcement came alongside a gameplay presentation by The Legend of Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma.
The gameplay presentation features a little over 10 minutes of Aonuma showcasing the new abilities that Link will have in the upcoming sequel. The end of the video reveals the release date for the Tears of the Kingdom Edition OLED Model Nintendo Switch, which releases on April 28, 2023.
The dock on the TOTK edition Switch features a white exterior with a gold Hylian Crest and Zelda-inspired embellishments, along with matching gold-and-green Joy-Con controllers. As an OLED Model, the system features 64 GB of internal storage, a 7-inch screen, and dock with wired LAN port. Additionally, a Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch Pro Controlller and carrying case will be released separately on May 12, when the game officially launches.
