Long-awaited brawler sequel Streets of Rage 4 is getting a physical edition, according to an announcement today from Merge Games. Fans will also be able to get their hands on a special collector’s edition of the game that contains various Streets of Rage 4 collectibles.

After releasing digitally on April 30, the physical edition of Streets of Rage 4 will now be hitting retail stores this summer. The retail version will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A special Signature Edition of the game will also be available for the console versions.
Signature Edition
Streets of Rage 4 developer Merge Games and publisher Dotemu have teamed up with developers Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games to produce the game’s retail versions. Those who purchase the Signature Edition of Streets of Rage 4 can look forward to several unique collectibles, including an art book and reversible cover. Here’s what’s inside the box:
- Big Special Edition box with a wealth of contents inside
- Complete standard game with reversible cover, art book and key-ring
- Five fighter enamel pins
- Numbered art card
- Original Soundtrack comprising of 35 tracks
- Axel’s Blue Headband
Standard retail copies of Streets of Rage 4 will hit store shelves later this summer. The game will cost $34.99 on PS4 and Xbox One, $39.99 on Nintendo Switch, and $29.99 on PC. The game’s Signature Edition costs $54.98 for the PS4 and Xbox One copies and $59.98 for Switch. The Signature Edition for PC is not available in the US. This isn’t the only physical version available for Streets of Rage 4. Back in March 2020, physical game purveyors Limited Run Games opened pre-orders for the Streets of Rage 4 Classic Edition, which includes a physical copy of the game plus a game case, SteelBook case, and custom Genesis clamshell case. At the time of this writing, the Classic Editions from Limited Run are still available for pre-order.
