EA is doing things a little differently at EA Play this year and is focusing on gameplay over on-stage theatrics. To kick things off, Respawn Entertainment started things off with the first gameplay footage of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gameplay Trailer
The footage in the gameplay trailer shows off a fair amount of combat, “thoughtful combat,” as Vince Zampella calls it. While the story we’ve heard about so far paints the player, Kal, as a Jedi just coming into his own, the footage does show quite a few Jedi combat moves.
BD-1, or Buddy Droid-1, Kal’s companion will feature prominently as a companion for the player. It will be able to perform certain tasks, including providing healing for Kal during times of crisis. Clearly, no Star Wars title would be complete without an adorable droid companion.
Respawn Entertainment reiterated that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is canon, it is a story of exploration, and there is no choice between light and dark, it is what it is.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set to release on November 15, 2019, on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
