Hold on to your shorts! Everyone’s favorite underwater sponge, SpongeBob SquarePants, will be making his return to video games in the coming year. Today, publisher THQ Nordic announced SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated with a brief teaser trailer. The game is a remake of the original SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom title that released back in 2003.
The 20-second teaser trailer, shown below, features SpongeBob putting on a military helmet, announcing that he’s ready. Although the teaser is short, it should be enough to whet your whistle for the upcoming remake. Like the original, players will be able to dive in as SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy to save Bikini Bottom from Plankton’s robot crew. You can also look forward to meeting an assortment of iconic characters from throughout the SpongeBob SquarePants television show.
