The Pokémon GO Community Day for March is going green! Starting March 23rd, you will be able to catch the Grass-type Pokémon Treecko along with its Shiny Variant.
Pokémon GO Community Day – March
The additional bonuses that will take place during the Pokémon GO Community Day for March are of course three-hour Lures and one fourth egg hatch distance. This is a great time to use Super Incubators to cut down hatching time even more!
The Shiny Variant of Treecko will also be seen during the event and will be easily identified due to its turquoise color. Evolve Treecko into Grovyle by using 25 Treecko candy, and finally into Sceptile by using 100 Treecko candy.
Sceptile will know a move that it normally doesn’t know during this Pokémon GO Community Event, but that has not been released yet. Today, Niantic has confirmed that Frenzy Plant will be the exclusive move Sceptile will have. This marks a trend with Grass-type Pokémon who are featured during Pokémon GO Community Day.
Treecko is the first of three 3rd Generation starter Pokémon to come to Pokémon GO Community Day. The other two 3rd Generation starter Pokémon are Torchic the Fire-type Pokémon and Mudkip the Water-type Pokémon
Event Time Changes
The event starting time for Pokémon GO Community has also changed. Beginning with the Pokémon GO Community Day for March, the event will start at 03:00 p.m. local time! This means wherever you’re at in the world, it will start at 03:00 p.m. your local time. This is a welcomed change as it was normally a set time for each continent. A major plus to the time change is that it will relieve some stress on the Pokémon GO servers.
This Pokémon GO Community Day for March will be a leafy good time. Get out there and explore in Pokémon GO.
