It’s that time of year where the sun is shining, flowers are growing, the Pokémon eggs are hatching. Niantic is ready to celebrate spring with the Eggstravaganza Event in Pokémon GO.

The Eggstravaganza event is coming back to Pokémon GO this year and will surely get trainers out and walking.
Starting April 16, 2019, at 1:00 p.m PDT and ending April 23, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PDT the Eggstravaganza Event will be centered around hatching the baby forms of several Pokémon including Pichu, Smoochum, and Magby in 2km Eggs. Other Pokémon will also be available in eggs that weren’t available before as well.
Additional features will include two-time hatch candy, so every egg you hatch comes with double the candy. Incubators will have double the effectiveness meaning it will take half the time to hatch eggs and Lucky Eggs will last twice as long, giving you extra time to gain extra experience.
Trainers will also find limited-time Egg-focused research when visiting PokéStops.
Shiny Buneary
Niantic is adding another Shiny Variant to the pool of already Shiny Pokémon. Trainers will have the chance to catch Shiny Buneary the rabbit Pokémon. Buneary is a Normal-type Pokémon that will evolve into Lopunny for 50 Buneary Candy.
You’ll be able to catch the Shiny Variant through normal encounters and by completing certain Field Research.
Buneary won’t be the only Shiny Pokémon during this event either. Trainers will also be able to hatch Pichu, Smoochum, and Magby in their Shiny forms if they’re lucky enough.
Niantic continues to keep the events rolling in Pokémon GO. Don’t forget that you will also be able to battle Latios in a Special Raid Week in conjunction with the Eggstravaganza Event.
Have fun and get ready for this eggs-traordianry event!
