Artic Peninsula is an icy new map set in Antarctica. The map is designed for Control mode and will feature various flank routes for players to use to their advantage. Alongside the map comes a new Battle Pass set to the theme of Asian Mythology. The Battle Pass includes 80 tiers of rewards for players to unlock, culminating with the Amaterasu Mythic Skin for Kiriko. Credits are now available to unlock in the Battle Pass as well, giving players another way to earn in-game currency for cosmetic items.
Beyond the Battle Pass, additional log-in rewards and earnable skins will become available throughout the season as well. Most of these will coincide with limited-time seasonal events, such as the upcoming Ultimate Valentine’s Event beginning on Valentine’s Day, February 14.
The third season will also feature a special One-Punch Man crossover event from March 7 to April 6, marking the first-ever major IP collaboration for Overwatch 2. The crossover will include several skins and cosmetic items inspired by the beloved anime, including a Saitama skin for Doomfist.
March also marks the return of the PachiMarchi Event, which kicks off March 21 and ends April 4. The event will introduce a new limited-time Kill Confirmed game mode as well as various cosmetic items including the Epic PachiMarchi skin for Roadhog.
Alongside Season 3 comes an extensive list of gameplay and balance adjustments, including quality-of-life changes and other minor tweaks. You can find the full patch notes on the Overwatch 2 forum.
