NHL 21 Gameplay Trailer Showcases New Moves and Innovations

Learn more about the new athlete-inspired moves coming to NHL 21 in the game's first gameplay trailer.

EA Sports has released a new gameplay trailer for NHL 21, which is due to arrive on consoles in October. The trailer includes gameplay featuring more creative maneuvers on the ice. Check out the video below for the first look at NHL 21 in action.

NHL 21 Gameplay Trailer

NHL 21 will feature new offensive and defensive moves based on the skills of professional hockey stars. Nikita Kucherov, Connor McDavid, and of course, NHL 21 cover star Alex Ovechkin have served as inspiration for some of the games creative new moves. The game will also feature improved AI in the neutral zone along with added slips, banks, and chips to help players maneuver around the opposition.

Goalies get to enjoy new defensive improvements as well. New desperation saves will give goalies an edge on the ice. User-controlled goalies also move more fluidly thanks to the game’s reworked goaltending controls. Improved defensive AI will also be more adept with their positioning.
