To commemorate the premiere of Monster Hunter on the big screen next month, a special crossover event will be kicking off in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. The upcoming film collaboration will introduce Milla Jovovich’s Monster Hunter character Artemis to the Iceborne expansion as a playable character.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne x “Monster Hunter” Crossover
The two Monster Hunter worlds will crossover on December 4, 2020. Two single-player Event Quests inspired by the movie will be available for Iceborne expansion owners for a limited time. Players will take on the role of Artemis, who is portrayed by Milla Jovovich in the upcoming film. Jovovich lent her voice for the in-game character as well. The two-part Event Quest sees Iceborne players facing off against the gruesome Black Diablos and Greater Rathalos from the upcoming film.
It’s worth noting that these limited-time Monster Hunter crossover event quests will only be available to players who have achieved Master Rank. Special items and gear are up for grabs, so be sure to come prepared. Although the special collaboration doesn’t kick off until next week, all Iceborne players will have the chance to claim a special item pack as a login bonus on Friday, November 27.
The upcoming Monster Hunter film will release in North America on December 25, 2020. You can catch the film’s official trailer below.
