Hot air balloons, skydiving, and rescue missions are among the new flight activities coming in the sequel.

The first trailer for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 debuted during the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday. The trailer reveals a variety of new flight activities in store for pilots and flight enthusiasts, including firefighting and search and rescue missions. The trailer also reveals new ways to take to the sky in the upcoming sequel.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will feature various new flight activities for pilots to partake in, including cargo transport, air ambulance services, and even crop-dusting as part of agricultural aviation. Players will be able to pilot aircraft for new jobs such as VIP charter flights and skydiving aviation. Hot air balloon trips also offer a new way to reach the sky in a different sort of aircraft.

Alongside the reveal of the sequel, Microsoft and developer Asobo Studio also announced that a Dune crossover expansion will be headed to the current Microsoft Flight Simulator on November 3, adding the House Atreides Ornithopter to the game.
