Soar to new heights and snag the babe in Jump King later this year.

Today, UKIYO Publishing and independent game studio Nexile announced that their cheeky vertical platformer Jump King will release on consoles in 2020. To see the game in action, check out the console announcement trailer for Jump King below.

Jump King Console Announcement

Jump King is described as a “Tactical Leaping Adventure”. In Jump King, you play as a knight who must leap and hop up a vertical expanse in an effort to reach the hot babe at the top of a tower. Players must carefully set up each jump in order to land in an optimal location. Misjudging a jump can result in the knight taking a significant, treacherous tumble all the way back to the bottom.

The three-button control scheme and pixel-art aesthetic may make the game seem deceivingly simple. Although Jump King will have accessible controls, that doesn’t mean it’s without challenge. “Jump King was made to make you look silly,” said Felix Wahlström of Nexile. “It makes jumping, something often taken for granted in games, into the sole challenge of the game!”

Jump King is already available for PC on both GOG.com and Steam, but will soon make its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year. However, no release date has been specified. Head over to the official Jump King website for additional details and updates.
