Horizon Zero Dawn is Heading to PC This Summer

Saddle up as Aloy once more when Horizon Zero Dawn arrives on PC this summer.

Sony has confirmed that the open-world RPG Horizon Zero Dawn is making its way to PC this summer. The news comes via Hermen Hulst, former managing director of Guerilla Games and current head of Sony’s Worldwide Studios, in an interview with PlayStation Blog.

“Yes, I can confirm that Horizon Zero Dawn is coming to PC this summer,” said Hulst during the interview. Horizon Zero Dawn is the first Sony-owned PS4 exclusive to be ported to PC after its initial release. However, it’s not the only PS4 exclusive making the leap to PC. Hideo Kojima confirmed late last year that his open-world action game Death Stranding would be headed to PC in summer 2020.

Though it is great news that PC players will get the chance to play Horizon Zero Dawn, Hulst hopes fans will quell their expectations regarding future PS4 to PC ports. “I think it’s important that we stay open to new ideas of how to introduce more people to PlayStation, and show people maybe what they’ve been missing out on,” said Hulst. “To maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC. In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance.”

While no release date was specified during the interview, Hulst did state that the Horizon Zero Dawn developer Guerrilla Games will have more information on the PC port soon. Until then, players can wishlist Horizon Zero Dawn on the game’s shiny new Steam page. Horizon Zero Dawn will launch for PC sometime this summer. Be sure to check back here for future updates.
