Fans hoping for a sequel to Horizon Forbidden West have seeming had their wish granted, as developer Guerilla Games confirmed on Monday it is working on “Aloy’s next adventure.”
The news was revealed in a message on the studio’s website announcing that Executive Producer Angie Smets would be leaving the studio to enter into a new position as Head of Development Strategy at PlayStation Studios. The message acts as a written farewell for Smets while also revealing more about the studio’s new management structure.
The final paragraph of the message includes a statement that implies another Horizon sequel featuring Aloy is in the works alongside Guerrilla’s online project. “We have full confidence in our new leadership as they steer Guerrilla towards a bright future, expanding the world of Horizon with Aloy’s next adventure and our exciting online project.”
