PlayStation VR2 and Sense Controller Specs Revealed Alongside Horizon Call of the Mountain

A new teaser trailer offers a quick look at the upcoming virtual reality adventure set in the world of Horizon.

PlayStation has announced new details for the next virtual reality system coming to PlayStation 5. The system is now officially called the PlayStation VR2 and it builds upon the previous PS VR hardware through various advancements. The announcement also came with the surprise reveal of Horizon Call of the Mountain, a new virtual adventure being developed exclusively for PS VR2.

PlayStation VR2 promises high visual fidelity, with an OLED display, 4K HDR, and frame rates of 90/120 Hz. The PS VR2 will also have unique sensory feedback that will increase player immersion by amplifying the sensations they feel while playing a game. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback of the PS VR2 Sense controllers enhance these sensations and take the immersion even further.

The PS VR2 will be simple enough to set up. All you have to do is plug it into the PlayStation 5 to get it up and running. There’s no need for external cameras either, since the PS VR2 can track your controller movements using cameras built into the headset. You can find the full PS VR2 and PS VR2 Sense controller specifications over on the PlayStation Blog.
