Hitman 3 will support 4K visuals at 60 fps, promising faster loading times over its predecessors. The game runs on IO Interactive’s proprietary Glacier engine, which features crowd technology that allows for up to 300 NPCs in a location at once.

In the trailer, we get to see some of the new locations in Hitman 3, including Dubai, Dartmoor, and Chongqing. Players will also be able to import locations from previous games in the trilogy, all with improved rendering, animation, and AI interactions. This gives players more than 20 Hitman locations to choose from, all in once place.

PlayStation VR Support

It’s also worth noting that Hitman 3 offers full PlayStation VR support. Hitman 3 can be played in PSVR natively or through backward compatibility on PS5. Given this, all PS5 copies of Hitman 3 will come with a free digital copy of the PS4 version. This is to ensure that all PS VR owners have the chance to play the game in VR, according to the developers.

Hitman 3 releases on January 20, 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Stadia, and PC. The game will also come to Nintendo Switch through cloud streaming. Those who buy the PS4 version of Hitman 3 can upgrade to the PS5 version for free. Stay tuned for more Hitman news and updates.
