Today, developer IO Interactive released Ambrose Island, a new sandbox location available for all Hitman 3 players. The new map arrives as a part of the Year 2 plans for Hitman 3 and brings various new gameplay features to the game, including VR support and Ray Tracing. The opening cinematic for Ambrose Island is available below and features some familiar faces from the World of Assassination.
Hitman 3 – Ambrose Island Opening Cinematic
The Ambrose Island location takes place prior to the events of Hitman 3 and will also fill in some of the story gaps from Hitman 2, according to the latest IOI blog post. Alongside new challenges and items, Ambrose Island also brings Ray Tracing, expanded VR support, and Contracts Mode to Hitman 3.
The new map arrives alongside the July patch update, which brings various bug fixes and gameplay adjustments. Head over to the IO Interactive blog for the full Hitman 3 July Patch Notes. The new location as well as the July patch update are available for free for all Hitman 3 owners on consoles and PC, including Game Pass subscribers.
