Over the weekend, Sony announced their plans to host one more PlayStation 5 showcase ahead of the console’s launch later this year. Tune in to the PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels this Wednesday to learn more about Sony’s next-generation console.
PlayStation 5 Showcase – September 16
The PS5 showcase will take place on Wednesday, September 16 at 1:00 p.m. PDT / 4:00 p.m. EDT. According to PlayStation Blog, the digital showcase will clock in at around 40 minutes. Viewers can expect to learn more about the games coming to PS5. Hopefully this will include details on the PS5’s launch titles.
“Before PlayStation 5 launches this holiday, we wanted to give you one more look at some of the great games coming to PS5 at launch (and beyond!),” said Sid Shuman, Senior Director at SIE Content Communications on the PlayStation Blog. “Our next digital showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes, and feature updates on the latest titles from Worldwide Studios and our world-class development partners.”
As Holiday 2020 approaches, we still have yet to learn the release date and price for the PS5. These details will hopefully be revealed during Wednesday’s showcase, especially since Microsoft recently announced pricing for the Xbox Series X and Series S. We may also learn more about PS5’s backward compatibility as well as release dates for future titles.
The upcoming PlayStation 5 digital showcase will broadcast live on both the PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels. There will likely be a VOD to watch if you miss the live show, however. We’ll be sure to report on any major announcements from the event, so be sure to check back here for updates.
