One thing SteelSeries has always done is make a quality product. None of this flimsy design stuff that feels like it’ll break if bumped or bent slightly. The quality also extends to the experience, too. Whether we’re talking a mouse, keyboard, or headset, SteelSeries has quickly made a name for itself as providing gamers with quality solutions, and that trend continued today with the announcement of the SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless Gaming Headset.
SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless Gaming Headset
The SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless Gaming Headset will provide gamers with a headset solution for almost all their gaming needs. As a PC player who ends up on PS4, I’m currently running two high-end headsets to meet my needs, but the Arctis 1 Wireless Gaming Headset will seemingly solve that problem. Using a USB-C dongle, the Arctis 1 will connect to a PS4, PC, and other platforms. This will allow players to use the same quality headset solution for all their gaming needs.
“With the continual growth of console gaming, alongside the emergence of mobile gaming experiences such as game streaming services and Nintendo Switch, gamers’ audio needs have evolved, and that evolution is wireless. Gamers need a truly multiplatform wireless headset that easily transitions between experiences, and that’s exactly what we’ve delivered with the Arctis 1 Wireless.”
The Arctis 1 will come with a wireless range of 30 feet (9 meters) and will supposedly have 20 hours of battery life. I’d like to believe all that, but we’ll see how it plays out. It also includes a 4-pole 3.5mm audio cable, which will probably be the option I go with on PC, switching over to wireless when I need to fire up the PS4.
The SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless Gaming Headset can be purchased right now directly from SteelSeries. It will cost $119.99 USD, €119.99, or $139.99 CAD.
