E3 is not only an opportunity for game developers and publishers to showcase their games. It is also a time for tech companies to reveal the new goodies they have lined up. On Monday, Razer hosted its first E3 keynote presentation during E3 2021. The company’s CEO and co-founder Min-Liang Tan revealed various new Razer products during the showcase, including the highly anticipated Razer Blade 14 laptop as well as the Raptor 27 Monitor. During the keynote, Razer announced several pieces of hardware, including the Razer USB-C GaN Charger and the Raptor 27 monitor, the world’s first THX-certified 1440p monitor. The big reveal of the keynote was the Razer Blade 14 laptop, which is making its return after a three-year break.
The Razer Blade 14 will feature an 8-core AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, making this the first Razer Blade laptop to have an AMD processor. The laptop will also feature NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series laptop GPUs, going up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU. The laptop also features up to a Quad HD 165Hz display. Of course, it wouldn’t quite be a Razer laptop without per-key Razer Chroma RGB backlighting as well. Despite having all these features, the Razer Blade 14 is thin and compact, with an all-aluminum chassis measuring in at just 14 inches.
“The original Blade 14 revolutionized the mobile gaming landscape, earned laptop of the decade, and brought us to where we are today,” said Brad Wildes, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Razer’s Systems Business Unit. “The new Blade 14 aims to shake up the industry once again by combining Razer’s decade worth of experience in crafting ultra-compact and high-end gaming machines with the power and efficiency of AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors. We are thrilled to bring the ultimate mobile gaming experience to gamers with the Razer Blade 14.”
The Razer Blade 14 laptop starts at $1,799.99 USD, while the USB-C GaN Charger costs $179.99 USD. The new products are available for purchase on the Razer website and at Razer retail locations.
