Among the new Syndicate faction introduces five new leader characters as well as 15 cross-faction cards (three per faction). The Syndicate is essentially Novigrad’s organized crime faction. The Syndicate cards feature their own unique gameplay mechanics that reflect the devious nature of Novigrad’s worst residents.

Here’s a snippet from the official website describing the Novigrad expansion. “Crime lords are vying for control of the streets using any means at their disposal. Yet strange events are becoming more commonplace. Once rival gangs are now being seen working together. The chaos is evolving, but why?”

CD Projekt Red is also sweetening the keg with a bit of an incentive for those who play GWENT in the next couple weeks. Those who log into GWENT: The Witcher Card Game prior to July 17, 2019 will receive a free Novigrad Keg in the game. The special keg reward includes five cards from the new Novigrad expansion.

Additionally, players can partake in the limited-time Arena Mode event, which allows for the use of Syndicate cards. The event features a special promo called The Underworld Pack that players can buy from the in-game shop.

Players can enjoy the Novigrad expansion in GWENT starting today on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Novigrad comes just months after the game’s first expansion, Crimson Curse, which introduced players to some of the Witcher world’s most notorious vampires.
