WB Games Montréal has released a new gameplay demo for their upcoming open-world action RPG Gotham Knights. The demo features the first gameplay of Nightwing and Red Hood, two of the game’s four playable characters. Pre-orders are also available now for the various editions of Gotham Knights, including the Collector’s Edition.
Gotham Knights Red Hood & Nightwing Gameplay
Since Gotham Knights is set in a separate universe from the Batman: Arkham games, it features its own original story where Batman has perished. The task of protecting Gotham City has since fallen upon Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood, the game’s four playable characters. Gotham Knights features solo play as well as drop-in, drop-out online co-op for up to two players. Local co-op is unavailable, however.
Pre-orders are now available for Gotham Knights, which comes in Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions. Everyone who pre-orders the game will receive the 233 Kustom Batcycle Skin at launch. The skin is inspired by the vehicle’s debut in DC’s Detective Comics #233. Pre-order details and retail outlets can be found on the Gotham Knights website.
When Gotham Knights was initially announced in 2020, the game was expected to launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. However, it seems that the game is no longer coming to previous-gen consoles, according to the Gotham Knights official FAQ page. In order to “provide players with the best possible gameplay experience,” Gotham Knights will now release only for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on October 25, 2022.
