God of War is Coming to PC in January 2022

Kratos and Atreus will be freed from the confines of PlayStation next year.

Today, Santa Monica Studio announced that 2018’s God of War will be headed to PC next year. PC players will be able to experience the journey of Kratos and Atreus on January 14, 2022.

God of War has received various accolades over the years since its launch in 2018. Over 19.5 MM copies of God of War have been sold for PlayStation 4 since launch, according to PlayStation Blog. “Our primary goal when bringing God of War to PC was to highlight the exceptional content the team created and leverage the powerful hardware that the platform offers to create a uniquely breathtaking and high-performance version of the game.”

The PC version of God of War will feature a variety of graphical options and presets to allow PC players to customize and attune the game to their liking. Higher resolution shadows, better screen space reflections, and ambient occlusion improvements are among the features PC players can look forward to in the upcoming release.

The PC version will be fully integrated with NVIDIA DLSS, which is available on RTX. NVIDIA Reflex low-latency technology will also be available for the game, offering more responsive gameplay. The PC version will also offer 21.9 ultra-widescreen support.

God of War on PC will feature fully customizable keybindings for those using keyboard-and-mouse setups. The game will support DualShock 4 and DualSense wireless controllers along with other gamepads for those looking to play with a controller.

God of War will release for PC on January 14, 2022 on Steam and Epic Games Store. The game is currently available for pre-purchase on both platforms.
