Ghostwire: Tokyo launches on Xbox Series X/S on April 12, 2023 and will be available for Xbox and PC Game Pass subscribers. The game will launch alongside the free Spider’s Thread update, which adds new features to the game including new cutscenes, locations, and quality-of-life improvements.

The free update adds new places to explore in Tokyo, including a new Middle School area. In terms of gameplay, the update introduces new combat moves, such as the Quick Dodge and Charge Rush attack, to further help players conquer the supernatural streets of Tokyo. The game’s photo mode has been enhanced with new features as well, including overlays and stamps to elevate your selfies.

Alongside new missions and cutscenes, the free update introduces an all-new roguelite game mode called Spider’s Thread, which consists of a 30-stage gauntlet that tasks players with clearing challenges to reach the end. Completing challenges will unlock new upgrades, skills, and buffs.
