Final Fantasy VII Remake is Out Now on PS4

Return to Midgar in the Final Fantasy VII Remake, available now on PlayStation 4.

The long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake is finally here. Return to Midgar in Square Enix’s contemporary re-imagining of the original RPG from 1997. Final Fantasy VII is now available globally on PlayStation 4.

In Final Fantasy VII Remake, you play as Cloud Strife, a former Shinra elite soldier who joins forces with an underground resistance group called Avalanche. Take on the corrupt Shinra Electric Power Company while reliving the iconic journey of FFVII.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is more than just a shiny new carbon-copy of the original game, however. The remake features a hybrid battle system that seamlessly combines command-based combat with real-time fighting.

For those who didn’t play the original, it’s worth noting that this remake doesn’t include the full story. This is merely the first of several games to release for the remake project. For now, the Final Fantasy VII Remake only features Midgar, offering a standalone adventure that will be continued in future titles.

If you’re undecided, you may want to try your hand at the Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo first, which is also available now on PS4. The demo allows players to dive into the remake’s opening chapter to get a taste of the new visuals, combat system, and characters. Final Fantasy VII Remake is out now on PS4 for $59.99.
