Far Cry 6 is Free to Play This Weekend

Progress from the free weekend will carry over to the full game if purchased.

Far Cry 6 is free to play all weekend long on consoles and PC, Ubisoft announced on Thursday. The free weekend kicked off on February 16, 2023 and will continue until February 20 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as Windows PC.

Far Cry 6 Free to Play Weekend

The free-to-play weekend grants access to Far Cry 6’s base game and several pop culture-inspired crossover missions, including a Stranger Things mystery. All game progress made during the free weekend carries over into the full game when purchased. Far Cry 6 will also be on sale for up to 70% off for a limited time, according to Ubisoft.

Far Cry 6 co-op play is also available during the free weekend, meaning players can team up with friends to try the game together. Those who do will be given the White Lotus Sniper Rifle in Far Cry 6. For those who miss the free weekend, Far Cry 6 has an ongoing free trial that includes the full game, but limits progress to the first island.
