Bethesda Game Studios has finally unleashed Fallout 76: Wastelanders, the latest update for Fallout 76. The highly anticipated update introduces NPCs to the game’s online open world, offering new quest opportunities and dialogue options for players.
In the Wastelanders update, players can choose to side with one of two factions: raiders or settlers. Players can choose to side with either faction, and the choices you make will ultimately shape the future of those living in the wasteland. Both groups have begun to return to post-apocalyptic West Virginia alongside new hostile creatures.

The update also adds a new reputation system to Fallout 76, one that should be familiar to those who played previous Fallout games. Your reputation will increase as you complete more quests, offer information, or eliminate enemies on behalf of a faction, strengthening your ties to the faction of your choice. Over time, improving your reputation will allow you to climb the social ranks within a faction, and they will eventually consider you an ally.
New events are being added as a part of the Wastelanders update as well, along with an assortment of bug fixes, gameplay tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements.
The launch of the Wastelanders update also marks the release of Fallout 76 on Steam. The game is also available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and on PC via the Bethesda Launcher. Those who purchase Fallout 76 on Steam from now until April 28 will also receive the Fallout Classic Collection bundle, which includes digital editions of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics for PC.
The standard edition of Fallout 76: Wastelanders costs $39.99, while the Fallout 76: Wastelanders Deluxe Edition is available for $59.99. Both versions will net you the Fallout Classic Collection on Steam. Head over to the official Fallout 76: Wastlanders website for more details.
