Free US-themed items are also up for grabs for returning F1 22 players.

F1 22 will be free to play this weekend, according to an announcement on Tuesday by Electronic Arts and Codemasters. F1 22 Free Play Weekend

The Free Play weekend in F1 22 begins tomorrow, October 20 and continues until Monday, October 24. During this time, a free trial of F1 22 will be available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as PC via Steam. New players who do not own the game can purchase F1 22 at a special discounted price. Progress made during the free trial will be saved and carried over should new players choose to purchase the game.

EA has partnered with McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo to put together a helpful how-to video offering tips on how to speed around the Austin circuit in F1 22. You can check out Ricciardo’s driving tutorial below.

“With the Circuit of the Americas just around the corner, we wanted to do something special and allow as many players as possible to experience the new era of Formula 1,” said Paul Jeal, Senior Director of the F1 Franchise at Codemasters. “During this free weekend trial, anyone can experience the thrill of Formula 1 for a limited time and we couldn’t have asked for a better coach to show us around the circuit than Daniel Ricciardo.”

F1 22 players can also receive new US-inspired items in-game simply by logging in anytime between now until November 7. Head over to the F1 22 website for more details.
