With the Iberia DLC release for Euro Truck Simulator 2 imminent, truckers are encouraged to participate in the World of Trucks' "Cruising Iberia".

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is about to receive its latest DLC when the Iberia expansion opens up the remainder of Spain and all of Portugal, completing the entirety of Western Europe’s mainland. To celebrate, and to encourage truckers to explore the new region, SCS Software is launching the “Cruising Iberia” community event on World of Trucks.

Players are invited to amount over 250,000,000 km, that’s 25 million kilometers, and share their experiences on social media using the hashtags #CruisingIberia and #BestCommunityEver. While you’re transporting everything from textiles and apparel, food and beverages, to rubber and plastic products, electronics and telecommunications, and more, you’ll quickly rack up the kilometers. If you want some rewards other than the experience of the beautiful Iberian landscape, SCS Software has you covered.

Players that deliver cargo to or from 20 unique Iberian cities will gain a personal World of Trucks achievement and the Iberian Lynx-themed ETS2 truck paint job Steam inventory item. When the community goal of driving 250,000,000 km during deliveries to or from any Iberian city is met, and if the player has also achieved their personal goal, then they will receive a Plush Iberian Lynx toy and an Iberian Mask bobble head ornament as Steam inventory items.

The event will run until May 11th at 23:59 UTC.

If you’re looking for a new truck to explore Iberia in, you should check out the new Renault Trucks T & T High: Evolution trucks. For the first time ever, an actual real-world truck was introduced to the world using Euro Truck Simulator 2 as a stage. This is quite a feat for SCS Software and a sign of the continued relationship between the developer and real-world companies in the trucking industry. The new Renault trucks are now available in Euro Truck Simulator 2.
