There’s certainly no shortage of blood, carnage, and general grotesqueness in this cinematic trailer. Still, it does set the scene for what is anticipated to be a much darker installment in the long-running Diablo series. For those not easily swayed by cinematics, Blizzard obliged by showing off three minutes of gameplay as well.

Fans of the series will enjoy once again seeing what’s made Diablo so special, tons of chaotic combat filled with beautiful graphical flashes and loot. The trailer showcases three of the playable classes, the Barbarian, the Druid, and the Sorceress.

No release date has been announced as of yet, but seeing gameplay footage is generally a good indication that we’re not looking at years of development remaining. Here’s hoping that Diablo IV will be consuming much of our life soon. Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo IV will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
