Bungie will be putting the Destiny community to test this coming September. To help bridge the time until Shadowkeep, a Destiny 2 Community Challenge will be introduced to test just how powerful everyone is.

With preparations for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep well underway, Bungie has announced a community challenge that will be taking place on Mars and focus on the Hive. This community challenge is to help better prepare guardians for the trip back to the Moon.
Community Objectives
The Destiny 2 community challenge will begin on September 3, 2019, at reset time and end on September 10, 2019, at reset time. The community challenge objectives are as follows.
- Defeat 175,000 Wave 7 Escalation Protocol bosses
- Defeat 300 million Hive on Mars
- Mars Nightfalls
- Defeat Nokris 150,000
- Defeat Xol 100,000
- Use 300,000 Override Frequencies
I’m sure you’re wondering what Bungie will be rewarding its players by completing this challenge. The reward for participating and completing at least one Nightfall will be the Lost City emblem. If players complete this feat, they will also impress Emperor Calus, who will provide additional rewards for successful Menagerie completions.
When goals are met, players will be guaranteed two rewards when slotting their runes and opening chests. An additional reward will be added each Friday for the remainder of Season of Opulence.
While the challenge objectives seem like a rather impossible feat to complete, this challenge is being taken on by players from PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It means that Destiny 2 players will band together with one goal in mind.
This is the first community challenge Bungie has come up with and hopefully won’t be the last. Community challenges are a great way to bring your community together as one and I have a feeling this won’t be the last one. Check out our Destiny 2 Archives for more guides and news. Destiny 2 is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One.
