We’re just two weeks away from the arrival of Beyond Light, the newest expansion for Destiny 2 that takes Guardians to the icy moon Europa. Launch day also marks the start of Season of the Hunt, the next season of content in Destiny 2 Year 4. Today, Bungie revealed the roadmap calendar for Beyond Light and Season of the Hunt, which you will find further down this article. Bungie also released a new video documentary called “Forged in the Storm” that features several developers discussing what’s to come in the season ahead.
Season of the Hunt Calendar
Destiny 2: Beyond Light launches on November 10, the same day as Season of the Hunt. The season will last for three months, concluding in February 2021. At launch, Guardians will be able to obtain the seasonal Artifact and begin earning Season Pass rewards. According to the calendar, the Glassway Strike will open and the Empire Hunts will begin on launch day as well.
Beyond Light also introduces Guardians to Wrathborn Hunts, which begin a week after launch on November 17, alongside the start of this season’s story mission. The Deep Stone Crypt Raid will open the following weekend on November 21. The first Iron Banner will commence on December 8. Guardians can then celebrate the arrival of winter in The Dawning event, which begins on December 15.
What’s more, Guardians will no longer have to worry about missing out on seasonal content. “Starting with Season of the Hunt, most of the Seasonal content and all of the sweet gear will be sticking around for all of year 4,” said Bungie in a blog post today. “We hope this alleviates some of the FOMO that has been present with past Seasons. Now you can jump back in and experience past Seasons’ story, activities, and loot anytime during year 4.”
