Bungie is getting ready for two big moves in the coming weeks and players are anxiously waiting for them to happen. Cross save and Steam transfer are on the way for Destiny 2 in preparation for Shadowkeep, and today’s This Week at Bungie had some information on both.
Prepare for Cross-Save and Steam Transfer
The time has come to start packing things up over on Battle.Net to get ready for the move to Steam on PC for Destiny 2. PC players will begin the process of linking accounts starting August 20, 2019. Destiny 2 will arrive on Steam October 1, 2019, for the release of Shadowkeep. For those players on PC transferring from Battle.net to Steam, head over to PC Move on Bungie to be notified when you can begin the transition.
Bungie is also getting cross save ready for those players that want to transfer their Guardian from console to PC or Stadia when it releases later this year. Destiny 2 cross save is planned to launch on August 21, 2019. For players wanting to use the cross save feature, sign up at Cross Save on Bungie to be notified when you can begin using it.
Armor 2.0 Customization

On August 14, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. PST, Bungie will be answering questions and streaming the brand new Armor 2.0 system coming to Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. This stream will feature what developers from Bungie think the best Titan, Hunter, or Warlock build will be. It will be interesting to see what Bungie comes up and what combinations can be made with mods. It’ll also be cool to watch the subreddit come up with builds that can melt raid bosses in seconds. Oh, wait, they already did that.
While we wait for the Armor 2.0 stream to happen, players should be happy to know that one Solstice of Hero objective will be scaled down. The objective to defeat 100 Mini-Bosses will be scaled down to only 50, and the final boss will count for five. This is good news for players as they won’t have to farm the European Aerial Zone for the correct instance with the Psion Engineer that spawns in with the three Cabal Brothers boss fight.
Destiny 2 is available for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One now with Destiny 2: New Light and Shadowkeep releasing on October 1, 2019. Head over to our Destiny 2 Archives for all things Destiny.
