Lovecraftian ARPG Dark Devotion Gets April Release Date

Warriors who are up for the challenge in Dark Devotion get to test their faith on PC next week.

Today, developer Hibernian Workshop and publisher The Arcade Crew announced the official release date for the brutal action RPG, Dark Devotion. Players who are up for the challenge can prepare for pilgrimage on April 25, 2019.

Dark Devotion is a side-scrolling action RPG where players embark on a dangerous journey to prove their loyalty to an unforgiving God. As a brave Templar warrior, players must delve into a mysterious temple where countless enemies await. The world design is partially inspired by the work of H.P. Lovecraft, making for some dark and haunting environments. A rich narrative unfolds as you progress further on your quest, with each encounter testing your devotion and faith.

Players will also discover an assortment of weapons and items throughout their journey. It is partially an RPG, after all. Some enemies may require the use of a certain weapon, so those who can adjust their fighting style and weapon choice accordingly will have better odds of survival.
