Night City Wire Episode 4 Explores the Styles and Vehicles of Cyberpunk 2077

Choosing the right vehicle is just as important as choosing your outfit in Cyberpunk 2077. Take a deep dive into both in Night City Wire Episode 4.

Today, CD Projekt Red revealed even more details about Cyberpunk 2077 in Night City Wire Episode 4, which focused primarily on the game’s vehicles and fashion elements. We don’t quite know what is in store in Cyberpunk 2077, but one thing seems certain: we will be able to rock Night City in style.

In Night City, style is everything, and CD Projekt Red wants players to have the freedom to express themselves. The 2077 in Style segment of today’s broadcast showcased some of Night City’s iconic fashion. Players will be able to align their wardrobe with styles like Kitsch, where function comes second, Entropism, where practicality comes first, Neomilitarism, where substance is over style, and Neokitch, the style of the inheritors of corporate wealth. These styles represent core character identities in the game, and they seem to carry over into a domain seemingly unrelated to clothing–the automotive industry.

The Rides of the Dark Future segment of today’s Night City Wire broadcast focused on the various modes of transportation in Cyberpunk 2077. Car enthusiasts and thrill-seekers alike can look forward to a gamut of in-game vehicles to choose from. All you have to do is pick your style.

Are you the kind of person who wants a trusted mode of transportation? The manufacturer Makigai just may have made the car for you. The Maimai, created in 2032, is an economy vehicle that is small, quick, and to the point, staying true to the style of Entropism it so shamelessly sports. From the Kitsch sport cars of Mizutani, to the Neokitsch hypercars of Rayfield and Herrera, Cyberpunk 2077 seems to have a vehicle for every personality.

The vehicle segment continued with two behind-the-scenes videos. The first video, titled Revving Up Night City, offers a look at how the developers recorded audio for the in-game vehicles and why the audio sounds so realistic. The second video, Arch Motorcycle with Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger, discusses the pair’s collaboration with CD Projekt Red.

Today’s Night City Wire concluded with a video from the Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay contest grand finale that featured several talented contestants from the competition.
