The long-awaited next-generation update for Cyberpunk 2077 is finally available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The next-gen versions arrive alongside Patch 1.5, which is out now for consoles as well as PC and Stadia.
Two new graphics modes are available for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Cyberpunk 2077, Performance Mode and Ray Tracing Mode. The former maintains 60fps gameplay with dynamic 4K scaling. Ray Tracing Mode instead offers 30fps gameplay with 4K scaling, but with balanced HDR, improved rendering, and various visual improvements. The PS5 version of Cyberpunk 2077 now utilizes the adaptive triggers on the PS5 DualSense controllers, with customized haptic feedback based on what’s happening in the game.
Several new features were added to Cyberpunk 2077 as free DLC. As of Patch 1.5, players can now buy new apartments throughout Night City. Additionally, players can now change their appearance in Cyberpunk 2077 using mirrors and safehouses. Perks have been reworked and players can now reassign their Perk points for free as part of the update. Wilson’s 2nd Amendment in-game store also has new wares, including two new weapons and several new weapon scopes and attachments.
Free Trial
Additionally, a limited-time free trial is now available for those looking to try out Cyberpunk 2077 without having to commit to buying it. The free trial is available for download on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The trial lasts for five hours of playtime, after which the trial will end. Save progress will carry over to the full version if purchased.
As expected, the 50 GB patch update features a ton of bug fixes and gameplay improvements. The full list of changes for Patch 1.5 is available on the Cyberpunk website. Be sure to check back here for more Cyberpunk 2077 updates.
