Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Adds Functional Metro System

The update also adds new vehicles, replayable car races, and more.

During the REDstream broadcast on Friday, developers from CD Projekt Red revealed that a free update is headed to Cyberpunk 2077. The update brings the game to version 2.1 and introduces several new features, including a functional metro system, new romantic partner interactions, and additional vehicles. Update 2.1 will release on consoles and PC on December 5, 2023 alongside the Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition.

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Overview

At long last, Night City is finally getting its own public transit system. Update 2.1 introduces Night City Area Rapid Transit, also known as NCART, a functional railway system that allows players to cruise around Night City without having to drive themselves. NCART will feature 19 stations for players to stop at, with multiple train routes and times to choose from.

Radioport is another new feature coming to Night City with Update 2.1. Radioport allows players to bring their favorite radio stations with them on the go without being limited to driving a vehicle.

The update also adds new character interactions for players to experience, particularly with in-game romantic partners. Players will be able to invite their partner characters over to V’s apartment for some quality time.

The update also adds several new vehicles to the game, including the Porsche 911 Cabriolet and a few motorcycles. Replayable car races have been made a permanent fixture in the game, giving players more chances to earn Autofixer discounts and rewards.

Update 2.1 will be available for free for players on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Head over to the Cyberpunk 2077 website and watch the latest REDstream for a glimpse at the upcoming update.
