During the opening night of Gamescom 2023, developer CD Projekt Red released a new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. The “New Ways to Play” trailer offers a look at the plethora of new gameplay features coming with Update 2.0, which releases alongside the Phantom Liberty expansion next month.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty New Ways to Play
Among the new gameplay features is the Relic skill tree, which offers a variety of new combat abilities. The perks system has also been reworked and will offer more interesting ways to take down enemies. Police and enemy AI have also been improved to have more realistic responses to player behavior.
Vehicular combat will also arrive with Update 2.0, giving players the ability to shoot while driving and hack enemy vehicles. Players will also have an assortment of new vehicles to choose from, along with new story quests and gigs to complete while exploring Night City’s newest location, Dogtown.
Update 2.0 will be available free for all players when it releases alongside the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion on September 26, 2023. The expansion costs $29.99 and is currently available for pre-order on PC and consoles.
