Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming Google Stadia, according to today’s Stadia Connect presentation. The game’s reveal trailer shown during the Stadia presentation was quite short and didn’t show anything particularly new. However, developer CD Projekt Red simultaneously released a new developer diary that delves into the creative process behind Cyberpunk 2077’s open-ended gameplay. We’ve included both trailers below for your viewing convenience.

One of the key features of Cyberpunk 2077 is the element of choice. The consequences of player choice are reflected in both the storyline and gameplay. “We have non-linearity in storytelling and non-linearity in the way you explore the world, and now we want to introduce non-linearity in gameplay,” explains senior level designer Miles Tost in the dev diary. “You can play your character any way you would like to play it.”

The dev diary briefly touches on Johnny Silverhand as well, noting his prevalence throughout the game. CD Projekt Red made waves during E3 2019 when they revealed that actor Keanu Reeves would be portraying the famous Rockerboy. The developers in the video then go on to mention how the Stadia will allow more players to experience the story of Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16, 2020 for Windows PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and now Google Stadia. It’s also worth noting that the private gameplay demo of Cyberpunk 2077 shown during this year’s E3 will be made public during PAX West 2019. Check back here for more Cyberpunk 2077 news and updates.
