CD Projekt Red has announced a new PC case-modding contest geared towards Cyberpunk 2077 fans. The “Cyber-up Your PC” contest invites members of the community to design their own PC case mod based on the style of the studio’s upcoming RPG, Cyberpunk 2077.
Although the task is to design a modded PC case, contestants won’t need to construct the case itself. However, contestants will need to adhere to the Cyber-up Your PC submission guidelines in order for submissions to be considered valid entries. Designs must be submitted before May 17, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CEST.
In May, a panel of judges will choose five of the best entries from approved submissions. Professional case modders will then build these designs for the competition finale, where one will be crowned the winner. According to the contest rules, the jury will judge each submission “based on the design’s feasibility, creativity, and faithfulness to the Cyberpunk 2077 style.”
The five finalists will compete to win the grand prize, which includes a fully built Alienware PC containing an NVIDIA graphics card, a SteelSeries wireless headset, and Alienware PC accessories (mouse, keyboard, and monitor).
Cyberpunk 2077 releases on September 17, 2020 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game reportedly will launch for Google Stadia later this year. For contest details and more information, head over to the official Cyberpunk 2077 website.
