On Thursday, developer Big Time Studios released new alpha gameplay footage for their upcoming multiplayer online action RPG, Big Time. The gameplay trailer, which you can watch below, shows in-engine alpha footage of Big Time captured on PC.
Big Time Alpha Gameplay Trailer
Big Time is a free-to-play, third-person action RPG that uses non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for its in-game collectibles. The game is described as a history-spanning adventure that will take players “through time and space” to meet iconic historical figures. As an online co-op game, Big Time will allow hundreds of players to battle alongside one another to take down the threat causing the collapse of time.
One of the biggest features of Big Time is its NFT-based collectible system, which opens the accessibility of NFTs to a broader audience. All NFTs in Big Time are cosmetic, so there’s no need to worry if the game is pay-to-win. Collectibles include items like new mounts, pets, and gear for your character. Players will also have their own personal Time Machine that can be customized using various items, such as furniture and trophies. Players own all the digital goods they acquire in-game and collectibles can be traded and sold to other players.
“Big Time won’t be an NFT generator with a modest game attached – we are developing an engaging game first that also has the ability to give players ultimate control over their experience and virtual property,” said Ari Meilich, CEO at Big Time Studios. “Our team of developers has loads of experience with creating great games that capture what’s unique to this medium.”
Alongside the new alpha footage, Big Time Studios is also celebrating the VIP Early Access Pass, which is now available as part of the Big Time Founder’s NFT sale. Limited-edition cosmetic items such as concept art, gameplay shorts, and animated postcard packs for Big Time are also up for grabs during the sale.
