Study the ocean's many secrets in Beyond Blue on console and PC this June.
Today, developer E-Line Media announced the release date for their upcoming underwater exploration game, Beyond Blue. The news came as a nice surprise during their Earth Day 2020 livestream, where viewers could ask the developers questions about the game. You can watch today’s livestream over on the Beyond Blue YouTube channel.
Beyond Blue will launch on June 8, which happens to also be World Oceans Day. In Beyond Blue, players take on the role of a diver who uses advanced technology to document their various underwater discoveries. You’ll use your data to learn about the underwater ecosystem and draw conclusions about what may be disrupting the environment of a family of whales.
“We have taken care to craft a visual and audio experience that immerses players in the beauty of the ocean and the amazing creatures that inhabit it, while hopefully doing so with some interpretation and artistry,” said Michael Angst, CEO of E-Line Media and Creative Director for Beyond Blue.
The team at E-Line Media has taken insight from real-world scientists and oceanographers such as Dr. Samantha Joye. The game also includes footage from Blue Planet II. Check out the latest gameplay trailer for Beyond Blue below to catch a glimpse at the game’s grand underwater world.
Beyond Blue will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 8, 2020. For those who want an early look at the game, Beyond Blue is also available now on Apple Arcade for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV, and Mac.
